North Shore Distillery, located just outside of Chicago, is a boutique distillery making small-lot spirits such as this award-winning gin.
Tasting Note
Gold Medal. Clear with a platinum cast. Vibrant aromas of fresh herbs and spices, piney juniper, and twisted lemon peels jump from the glass. A silky entry leads to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body of bold cracked juniper berry, pink peppercorns, lemon curd, clove, and pastry frosting flavors. Finishes with a long interplay of resiny juniper, sweet citrus and brown spices. A superb gin that virtually bristles with fresh, 3-D flavors. Very impressive! Score - 95. 3 oz Distiller's Gin No. 6 (or 11)
½ oz Dry Vermouth
Dash of Orange Bitters
Can't go wrong with a classic. Swirl vermouth in glass; discard. Garnish with blue cheese olives or a twist. Also delicious with North Shore Vodka, and with more vermouth if you like it that way. We recommend Noilly Prat or Vya vermouth.

Hello vodka worker, vodka drinker, hello civilized world. This morning my husband Boris served me pelmani porridge in bed. Boris says to me EU has changed definition of vodka. Every, September we crush bucket of grapes for new vodka vintage. Such time we had. Phooey, Vodka is not Grape. Grape is wine, maybe sometime grappa but not vodka. E.U say that vodka is molasses. Last night I make Boris molasses cookie. "One smooth cookie, "Boris say. But Boris don't put in martini glass and drink it. Molasses is for cookie and Vodka is no cookie. True Russian Vodka, Real Russian Vodka comes from real Russian wheat. It not come by crushing grape in bucket or baking cookie. Sometime vodka come from potato. But potato better as pancake, I think.
